I have very small expirience on reversing solo tricks, but I have one cool tip.
So I start:
If your opponent fails a solotrick on you, there is a very good chance that he will repeat it. So this is a very good time to presplit him.

I often predict people in Gigantic when they freeze, Must people have hard time combining F + Space split + Z + W at the same time, so they usually freeze, and when they freeze thats when I split.
I can also predict if they are close to you and dont solotrick for awhile, they are either scared or you two are too close, then they back a bit, you will see how they turn around to go away from you and when they turn to you again, doublesplit them. Most times when they turn back they solotrick
