I thinkmy your tip (you wrote that first) is still the best solution about that "issue" that happens when 2 members/players post numbers close to each other :
Check your post/number AFTER you posted it, that way you can see if it is correct and you are able to correct it if it is not.
If an other member/player posted a correct number faster than you were able to correct yours, NOTHING is lost, you can still go on with counting for your team you chosed
Just delete your wrong post/number OR accept it that your wrong number was ignored.
Search short time for the last correct number and start counting correct again
