See, if he were in the UFC, he would totally have my respect.
And perhaps my disdain is undeserving, and he got into what was available at the time (UFC is a more recent thing...)
But every time I look at what on TV is known as 'wrestling' I have to scoff, because it's completely fake and scripted. Okay, yes, its done for entertainment, and essentially was the dawn of 'reality television'. And, considering the USA now has a President who is a 'reality TV star'... you could make a point for how people have, for the very least, been VERY entertained by it.
But to me, when I think of 'wrestling', I'm thinking of Olympics-style wrestling. The same wrestling that I did (and so thoroughly sucked at, lol) in Gr 9 and 10, trying to throw other boys and pin 'em to the ground. THAT was wrestling!
