No, probably it's more something that I don't understand. Since I typically have forgotten what anyone did to me yesterday, I suppose I should extrapolate, and cease to wonder how I could think someone was letting things get unnecessarily out of hand, and try to shut up more -- or just try to be purely useful.

Here, my attempt would be this:

I would be quite shocked if she's really intended you any ill will or bad feelings, and say that perhaps a flaw had been uncovered! But I'd predict she's very sorry to be misunderstood. I know that she's not as great at English as us-folks who are comfortable in never having to speak anything but to communicate with others.

I'm hoping that slate you mentioned, is right around the corner!
