/Roll
#1
Hello everyone,

I don't post here often (never) but some of you might know me playing on agf solo server for some time.
About 1 or 2 week ago a new mini game started, /roll. At first I found it funny, if not a little obnoxious because of the cluttered chat it created, but did not mind it too much, I even played and won some coins!

But 3 days I found out that you can actually buy coins for real money ( Somebody told me you could since the start).
I would hate to see agma close or anything but really it's probably not legal and can create gabling addictions. A lot of kids play this game and there's a reason that such mecanic are nor present in other game, or EA would do it for sure.

A 500k bet is about 5$ of real money!

I get Sora need revenues but creating minor gambling addicts might not be the best way... And I'm not a lawyer but it look shady legally...

Thank you,

Totally agree man. the gambling feature needed to be deleted or controlled in this game cuz this game has underage players. once they're addicted there's no coming back(ik its only in-game coins but still this is not good)

Comment on this thread so Sora can see pls pls pls

If it would be coins that can only be obtainable in-game that would be ''ok'', still grey morally but with non real life consequences. But when there's real money attached to it it can have real life consequences. A kid who lost all his coins can take his parents credit cards to get more, or an adults who already struggle with gambling addictions could sink thousands. With real money it become an Online casino that you can't cash out.
Games publisher are already removing ''loot box'' because of the gambling it is and the problems it can create.. And in my eyes it's not as bad as betting against other people.
What's the difference between gambling real money or fake money that you buy with real money?

well, as u said

I dontrly see some big harm if its ab coins that are obtained in-game

But I do think its wrong if its real money

I heard before, like before couple of years that one kid spent like, around 10k$ from his dad's credit card on gambling
(Signature had to be removed due to the possibility of causing seizures)

I agree, overtime you can lose a lot of coins with this method, however I believe that it is entirely up to the person that agree's to do the bet. Smile

Apparently, When the Dice game in agma.io came out I've actually started playing it and it was fun but when I lost the very first round of the dice game, I started losing some coins after I'd won some round or 1 round and I was really shocked because losing coins was just my weakness, and I'd known that I heard that some players in the Agma.io Discord Server told me that They've lost literally all of their coins, can you even imagine if your automatically just trying to buy wearables, create skins, or whatever and then as you were just playing the dice game in agma.io suddenly, you just lost a round and then you've lost all of your coins and then you have no coins left, that would be devastating and shocking because If I was that kind of person that would've play the dice game, I would totally end up get angry about it, But I'm not here to say the dice game in agma.io is specifically a very horrible game to play or whatever, I just think it's a incredibly fun game for me to play in agma.io but I really felt bad for players that lost all of their coins for losing the big amount of rounds they've played because sometimes is just their biggest weakness and fear to lose them. I do respect the game, the very important rules, the players, and even everything that was made in the game, I also respect and support Sora and Restlac, those are actually the ones that created this Amazing game for everyone, and I do also Respect and support the Staff, Supporters, and everyone in agma.io Big Grin

I don't mind gambling games myself, and we still have one, which is a little less obvious, the Wheel of Misfortune. (lol)

But I have heard that Sora has already been made aware of unintended affects of this mini-game, and I believe that he will be removing it soon.

Everyone knows that casinos make huge gobs and gobs of money, even after the governments try to tax them to death -- there's no denying that it can be addictive!

If you find yourself unable to just stop playing that, then you need to try harder, and force yourself to stop! (And as a side benefit, if you have trouble stopping, do yourself and your life a big favour, and make a point to avoid casinos, on-line card games, horse racing, lotteries, and so on!)
Fight the Good Fight
(Listen with lyrics here!)
Make it worth the price we pay!
All your life you've been waiting for your chance,
Pray you'll fit into the Plan.
But you're the master of your own destiny,
So give and take the best that you can!

Sora on the agma discord:
“Im on mobile right now, but letting you guys know im going to remove /roll dice minigame. The intention was never for it to be what it turned out to be. The idea was just to have the option/possibility in game to bet against people for fun, after farming some coins for example. Not for people to lose coins, get mad, or even addicted.”

-> it’s going to be removed
