When you report something, it sends a notification to moderators and admins and then they decide what to do with the post from there. I only recently started getting the notifications since becoming super mod

Yes, and sometimes they latch onto specific threads, and different bots keep coming there to lay a new terd. (lol)
I just try to read all the new messages, no matter what they're aboput, or where they are, and that way I usually see them and can deal with them.
