Ouch! Doesn't that just defeat the whole purpose, though?

I think people should never subscribe to something that they're unwilling to watch. It just means that YouTube's ability to show you things that you'd be interestyed in, is further weakened.

It has been since way too long. When Google took over YouTube, it started going downhill.
