It should be possible. Once a thread is started, it is assigned a number. That number appears as a variable in the full link, but that should always work. (ie 'showthread=some number)

You just need to make sure you use the whole link, including the variables.

Yes fine, thanks. But there is no bookmark button on the website that I can press, right? I use more than one browser and they do not share bookmarks so using the brower bookmarks is not that helpful. Sad

No, you are on the hook to manage your browsers and bookmarks yourself. I really only use one browser, except when forced to use a 2nd for one reason or another, and that way, all the bookmarks stay in that browser. If you use another site in a different browser, then you keep that sites bookmarks in the other browser. That would be how I would do it.

I don't really make much use of bookmarks, though. I just start typing the address, and use the down arrow. Smile

(Browsers also generally have the ability to export bookmarks. There's probably a "text" option, and then you can import it into your other browser.)

Ty. Well I use uhm 5 different browsers? Two on mobile devices, one at work and two at home. Exporting bookmars would be a bit over the top. In theory I could use synchronised bookmarks but this works either only for one type of browser (for example Chrome) - but I use more than one - or via a third party plugin but I do not want to choose the latter way.

I don't have that problem either... (lol)

I spend 12 hour days in front of the computer. The LAST thing I need to do, is go spend more hours on the Internet on my PHONE letting those filthy bastiches charge me ANOTHER $50/mo!

So my antiquated Flip Phone has no data plan, no browsers, and doesn't get used to sorf at all!

It sounds like you are another person that, if I dropped you into a jungle 400 miles from civilization in any direction, you would think you'd been delivered to hell itself!

~$ 6 per month is what I pay Angel Guess it's a country thing. Canada is so large, needs many radio antennas => expensive? Wink

Yes... all my shifts are 12 hours long. 4 days on, then 4 days off. It's pretty sweet, if you think about it! I get an extra-long weekend every week! I have so much free time left over, I could even get anothar part-time job as well. It is an 8 day week though, instead of 7, which does mess me up. I'll work 4 Mondays in a row, then have the next 4 Mondays off. Still, when you work out how many hours that is over 7 days, it comes to 42 hours. (35-40 is considered 'full time' here.)

Yes, that's true. Canada may be an awesome place to live, but we get gouged in some areas, and communications/media is definitely one of those areas. The lobby groups are too powerful, and dug in.

And the people are ... mostly push-overs. Sad

LOL, yeah fine, you're an I.T. puke, like me! But you still want to be well-rounded, don't you? There's lots you can do in life that has no need of a computer... and they can't ask you to be on call 24x7 if you're in the middle of nowhere! Wink

No worries, I still know how to use some ancient analog tools - left over by your prehistoric generation - such as paper books.   Rolleyes Shy Big Grin

Awwww, the simple life of a squirrel... Hiding nuts, finding nuts, eating nuts, sleeping, sleeping veryyyyyyyy long during the winter, ... Nothing else to worry about. What a wonderful life. Angel
