I thought the shoutout box = a chat but I guess I'm wrong.
I guess another chat can be good also.

It was something different, more like the shoutbox. You'd have to stay on that page to talk to someone. But the chat I propose, is one like facebook. You can browse any pages/threads, and still be able to chat with other members. A bottom right corner popup-chat box.

that would be sweet! would also be nice to have either a "top of page" button or a "forums" button at the bottom of every page...gets annoying scrolling back up every time you wanna go back. back arrow is no good if you made a post. @Sora

Sounds awesome! Making a chat with node.js is very easy and fast as fuck (boiiii) (keemstar meme).
But I don't have enough knowledge on MyBB's API to build something integrated into the forums. I will probably look into it some day...

nice, try something called chatovod. you can add the extension to websites. i will make an example and prob pm you the code and stuff
