Definitely. There are wayyyyy moooore than 9000 of 'em!

Every 60 seconds, I bet at least 8000 more have been eaten, and 9000 more have been born.

No-one has yet sufficiently answered for me the question of, "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?", but now I wonder whether we make the chicken to eat him/her, or do we eat the chicken in a vain attempt at population control.

I once employed an IT guy (best guy I ever hired, too), who wasn't too forthcoming about his last job. Turns out, that he'd been a "chicken catcher" in a rural area. They would run into barns, stoop down low, catch as many feet as they quickly could, run back out, toss 'em into the truck, and go again.

What a job! He told me he'd been studying so that he could do anything other than his current job. I gave him my test at the time (it was of the 'take home' variety), which unfortunately scared off more than 3/4ths the applicants, but he came back having owned it, and added to the learning he'd done.

(My test, by the way, tested a combination of how much you already knew, but what I was much much more interested in, was how much you were capable of learning.)

May no-one ever have to encounter the "blue chicken"...
