Whether or not you like this sorta stuff, this song is essentially a collaboration between the two biggest geniuses of electronic music production pretty much ever. It's a bit of an acquired taste, so not everyone will like it, but I do, and as an amateur edm producer myself I can really comprehend exactly how insanely skillful the production is. If you like this at all, or want to hear what it means for an electronic track to be musically genius, you seriously should check out both of these artists. Madeon's stuff is more pop/dance music-y, whereas Porter is more towards a sort emotional synthpop deal. All the tracks by both are amazing, especially if you know how crazy impressive what they're doing is. But yeah, hope y'all enjoy!

It's been too long since I posted one of these...

This is one of those songs that, for me, I was enjoying it's beat, and how easy it is to dance to, and it wasn't until now that I wanted to take a look at the lyrics.

I almost wish I hadn't?

It's just so obvious, if you read them, that the person saying this needs help... even before you see the song lines, "I overdosed".

In a nutshell (cough, double-entendre humour?! when do I EVER say anything fast??), a guy gets to go out with someone he obsesses over... and he never recovers.

So if this song sounds like you, let me know in a PM or something, and let's talk?

For me... I'm going to try to forget what it's about, so I can still enjoy the energy and the tune of the dance remix I found and love.

(Really, how could there even BE a dance remix of this song?! The dude kills himself!! How can you dance to that?! Well, OK, maybe it makes more sense that he tried to, survived, then wrote this song.)

Tonight I've felt... sort of driven to try and make out this song, and it's lyrics.

There was one place I found the lyrics, but it had some clear mistakes, and there may still be one or two.

To me, it's about a guy who's impressed by a gal who's had a rough life. I don't think she realizes this guy thinks about her. And although he wants to fight with her at times, he knows what she has been through,  doesn't, and enjoys her company.

"Pleasure in the pain" sounds like it could mean something possibly evil, but that would be taking it the wrong way. He's happy that she has shared her pain with him.

Give it a listen if you like?  It's "House" music...

And let me know if you think I gauged it right, and have the lyrics as they should be?
