Two reasons that Trace beats out other genre's right now:

I can't dance at all myself, but I love to watch others doing it, and Trance has such a beat that it is always danceable music!

And as well, working nights as I do, I find that if I am playing Trance tunes, I am generally in a wakeful state. In contrast, when I stop listening to music and turn to TV shows and movies on YouTube, I quite often do fall asleep.

Ah yes. I live for this thread. During my extended absence, I've actually been learning a lot about music and finding many artists I enjoy, so I'd love to share them with y'all! ^^

The main artist that has really been more or less my absolute favourite recently has been Bon Iver. Some of you may know of his work already, but he has *plenty* of hidden gems in his discography as well. Just be warned: his music is of the Indie genre, so it can be a little quirky at times, but my advice it just go with it~ Anyway! That's plenty enough rambling from me. Here is one of my very favourites...

Regarding Stacks: a song about the catharsis of coming to peace with a bad breakup. Also the last song on his debut album. (The stacks refer to stacks of poker chips, and symbolise all the heart he bet on the relationship... only to lose all of his stacks and be left heartbroken. I'd highly reccomend reading the lyrics as the songwriting is stunning, really moving, and adds so much depth and heart to the song overall.)
