Looks like a cool site! Though .io is not a game domain, idk why everybody thinks that. Here is the website managing the .io domain: http://www.nic.io/
Nevertheless it's a good idea to use it as a games domain, as it is unique, easy to remember / pronounce and it is the abbr. for Input/Output Big Grin (sorry for that)

Yeah, I'm a developer and Im actually really surprised about this recent trend of .io domains. Since it originally has been used for software projects. As you correctly said its for information "input and output".  Tongue

Well I think it actually is supposed to mean Indian Ocean (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_In..._Territory) Big Grin

Oh, and it sais it right on the first line here Big Grin
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.io

I think i would get an IO domain too, just because it makes sense to use it as a dev. It's very expensive though Sad

The smaller TLD's have been known for price gouging, as well as sudden and significant price increases on top of that.

People are using it as a revenue stream.

Me, I'd be happy with an 'old faithful' .net. It's still the cheapest around. (Although, wasn't there one that had allowed you to set up a domain for free? It may have been a subdomain. It's been too long since I've seen it mentioned.)
Fight the Good Fight
(Listen with lyrics here!)
Make it worth the price we pay!
All your life you've been waiting for your chance,
Pray you'll fit into the Plan.
But you're the master of your own destiny,
So give and take the best that you can!
