Anyone played on the new private server sites?
#1
Hello fellow nudists!

Opps wrong message board, sorry sorry Big Grin
(i'm just kidding - as you can see, I'm an Italian girl...well
I'm older so I'm definitely past the age of girl...but that's
another subject)
We Italian women think we have this robust sense of humor
but normally, we're not really funny at all.
But we take "stabs" at it all the time.

Anyway - jokes aside...

I've been playing Agario for about a year and
I totally love love lovveee it!
I jones for Agario at times.
And I am one of those that hate the teaming
Rolleyes
Well actually, I do and I don't hate the teaming.
I don't mind an occasional help
but it seems anymore they take it overboard with the teaming.
I definitely wouldn't mind a room where teaming was totally allowed...
and a room where you got the boot for teaming.

Anyway - I recently tried new private server exactly like agar....
and again, I'm in one of those
yes and no
do but don't state of minds...

I kind of like it but something is weird about it.
I feel like I am in the twilight zone for some reason.

For one thing - the speed is very slow.
Its not the players being slow its the game itself.

For some reason
cells that are on the leader board will
kill tinys! And I mean just signed on teeny tinys!
I don't know if you get extra points for killing off a cell as
soon as it spawns but the killing of new spawns is so bad...
it makes me think there must be special points for it.

Once you some size on your cell -
THEN it seems like no one splits!
I'm NOT kidding!
splitting to eat someone is downright rare!

Now by the time you get there ...
this may not be the case.. I don't know how old or new
this server is ... but I've only been playing for about 5 to 6 days
and I can see it changing since I have been there.
I'm guessing more people are hearing about it.
I read about it on some random reddit site last week.

When I first got on there -
the names on the cells were very "nice" ...
if you know what I mean.
Like no cursing, no threats...
now its amping up with some
of the stuff we see in regular agario.
Things like "pros only bitch"
"you mamma" stuff ...
Eat, suck and all that is sneaking in too.
The first 2 to 3 days NONE of that.
and it was odd too.
Its almost like everyone had been briefed before
being allowed to go in.

Splitting is still NOTHING like an agario room ...
but there is more now than when I started.

OOO and listen to this one -
VERY SELDOM does anyone shoot a virus
at you! Again, its happening more as time goes by.

I apologize in advance if this sounds prejudice ...
I don't mean it to - but when I first went in
there were maybe 2 to 3 Asian cells ...
(cells using Chinese on their cell)
Tonight that had changed to more like 5 to 7 cells.

It is definitely a different type of play than the
regular agario servers.

I'd say give it a try and I would love to see
what you think ... please leave a post with
your thoughts.
I didn't fully understand this one but
It said something about if you want to sign in
using your facebook that they have the right to
read the last thing you wrote on some kind of
clip board or something like that.
I was confused but I am not very computer/tech savvy.

Hope that you enjoy the gaming and hope that
you'll share your thoughts.
I am curious to see if others think
the same things I did ...
about it being slow and lack of viruses & splitting.

Be back soon ...

I try out every new server I find! Most of the new ones tend to be agario clones with nothing special, but some have interesting twists. If you find any good ones, make sure to post a link somewhere on here so those of us that are adventurous can try!
p.s. the only thing I use facebook for is to sign on to other sites....that being said, I never use facebook to sign on to any gaming site... dont need any advantage that bad Wink

Maybe when AGF gets boring I might look at other servers, more seriously but the ones I have seen so far just don't compare, for me anyway.
Bullies have personal issues.

AGF is love, AGF is life. Tongue

I don't know of any other GOOD Agar.io private servers. AGF is unique than the others.

Looks like I have to keep digging into the deep Agar.io web, might find something hopefully. -Turns hat backwards and keeps digging.-

That's great! We love humour here!

And if you're older, you'll be helping a few of us around here (who, me?!) to bring up the age of the average user some. ~grin~

I love the long message! But then, I am biased. :| If you stick around, I'm sure you'll see why. And yes, the game is definitely addictive. Fun and simple... and can fill any void of free time. Big Grin

This sounds an wful lot like there's bots in use there, and that's likely what's making things slow for everyone. (Either that, or the server just doesn't have the resources it needs.)

You've been here since December, but I'm not sure if I read an Intro for you? If you didn't post one, I hope you will! And if you did, my apologies. I'm going to look again. (lol)

@Squirrel ... I would wager that the server is slow because it's supposed to be. Agario clones are available for free, and they come with lots of options like speed, # of splits, virus count, bots, etc... the point being that there are tons of sites, all with slightly different mecanix. There are tons of vanilla sites, and lots of "trick" sites too (some having several options...kinda like us Wink ). I have played a bunch, and enjoy some tremendously, but still enjoy our beloved AGF server the most, for ballanced play and fast pace.
I wrote a super long post, and somehow lost it after not quoting Squirrel's post incorrectly so this is what you get hahaha... basically keep searching, and post links when you find good ones! I for one like to explore... thanx!

" I would wager that the server is slow because it's supposed to be"

Not quite. Cell.sh is a high caliber game... there are few clones of its level. The servers are high quality... the developers' biggest asset when they made the game were their servers. They have been doing online business for a long time.

Cell.sh itself has only recently been released out of beta. Design-wise, it's like vanilla agario. The bots in-game are disguised as real players. Their purpose is to act as a substitute until real players can fill the servers. 1 real player connects = 2 bots disconnect. There are much fewer bots than before now.

Recently a new game mode was added... agario's mobile rush mode, except with instant merge.

Cell.sh is diverse and a joy to play. If you haven't already, I'd recommend you to try it.
