I've never played any of these in my live, but I can't remember seeing anyone who actually won something in these machines. We had even a theory back then as kids that all mascots inside (I haven't seen any of these with balls like on the video) are somehow tied to each other, so the claws would never be able to grab any toys

I would be really disappointed when it happened to me when I was the age of boy from video.

This reminds me of my old university, which has an Engineering program, where they are all expected to become lethal with a straw, a piece of paper and a little bit of saliva.

Their blow darts would travel up from the basement of their building (where the cafeteria is -- an excellent source for the weapon, and ammo), up 4 stories, and embed into a slab of corkboard a good inch or so, if you did it right.

The second-most fun thing they did, was shooting at the poor sad-sack tasked with removing all the ammo from their ceiling every semester.

But I also only imagined it. I was not serious enough at school for me to have been accepted into an Engineering program.

And now I hear that engineers are largely being outsourced here as well.

I don't remember any similar lines from my brood, just now, but... it's just their imaginations, and if they're getting a lot of laughs from people around them over it, chances are pretty good that the'll go back to the well with it for awhile. ~grin~

Young people love attention too. Our 6 month old is no longer happy lying somewhere where he can see all the crazy stuff going on around him, but if you come over and make a few faces at him, yyyyeah, his faces lights up with a great open-mouthed smile.
