Perhaps you could host your pic with a site with a better security rating?

I'm not saying that postimg.cc definitely supports malware, but there do seem to be a few people who believe that, which I found discussed here:

The bit.ly site is the most lax place for rules and checking, and thus the site with the highest amount of malware, posing as pictures/etc.

I most definitely never click on a bit.ly link.

when i have to click on those for some stuff i cant avoid i use a vpn
really cheap and there is a free version: https://protonvpn.com/

Using a VPN doesnt avoid getting the virus into your pc but Anti virus helps alot.

Not strictly true! If a site has been hacked, and infected, it could move to install malware on your machine without your even agreeing to let anything be installed. This is why Anti-virus scanners maintain a list of infected sites, and try to warn you before you go there.

But even a decent Antivirus app does not guarantee you won't be infected. There is always that initial flurry of hits to the newly infected site, where no Antivirus apps are yet aware that it's infected, and it won't move to interfere.

true, but windows 10 has a pretty decent antivirus thats built in
i got ad ware before cuz i was downloading some files a friend sent me (he got hacked)
then windows later scanned and removed it
