For anyone who comes here a year from now, because they're trying to do the same thing:
- Click on the gears in the menu bar to get started.
- Your profile appears... in the left pane, under 'Edit Profile' click on 'Change Avatar'.
- Read the instructions the rest of the way to upload a small graphic to use.
I think the hard part is for you young-lot to learn that what you call 'pfp's (dumb acronym for 'ProFile Picture', lol) were once named 'avatars' by us old-geezers!

NO, he wasn't happy that he had to wait for some soul to tell him how it's done... He should know how to do this! And, even though this software is a bit cluttered and... nonintuitive, he figured it out!
By then, of course, he'd either forgotten that he'd ever asked... or was too lazy to go back and delete it. (lol)
But I dare say that at least 80% of us wouldn't have 'cleaned up' either!

Haha, what profile picture? I have always been around without any and I'm totally pleased with that.

You should explain it, though. I know you to have a brain, and that you use it well...
But when I try to think of WHY one would choose to have no profile picture, I get, in no particular order:
- If I were too lazy
- If I were blind and couldn't see the picture I was choosing
- If after 2 years here I still hadn't figured out how to do it
- If nothing interested me at all, and I couldn't choose a picture to represent one of them
- If my interests were illegal, and I didn't want to leave evidence
- If I had some form of condition where the sight of images might drive me into a rage against humanity, and I would turn that on the only person who was paid to care, my live-in caregiver

Don't feel so old I am only 15 and know about avatar so my 9 year old brother does know too.It's still called avatar on many sites
