So you need a better tool! Adobe Photoshop CS2 is old, but still a powerful tool, and it is for free! You might want to try it.

Ofcouse you might also give GIMP a try, it is for free as well - but in any version:

(I prefer using Affinity Photo but it costs about 55 € => 62 USD.)

yeee CS6 is pretty good. I use it

But if u cant get urself a photoshop then just as samira said, u can download some free photo editor or u can even use some online photo editor like Pixlr.
I just now tried to make one simple skin in Pixlr and dis is what I got (but keep in mind that it has some bugs lol)
